About the Author – Illustrator
Sunny Sommerset is the Pen Name for Karen Thomas who resides in the South San Francisco Bay Area and is a member of the SCBWI, MWA. She participates in two writing critique groups along with two illustration critique groups. In 2021, Karen was accepted into the SCBWI Nevada Mentorship program for her Middle Grade Sci-Fi alternative universe, mystery-thriller. She is currently enrolled in a mentorship with the Illustration Department and pursuing courses with the Society of Visual Storytellers.
